The 10th International Transmission and Distribution Conference & Exhibition will be held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre between 6-9 September, 2009. As the premier electricity and gas industry conference in the Southern Hemisphere, it is expected that around 2,000 delegates will attend this year.

As well as exhibiting, Prysmian will also be presenting a technical paper on Tuesday 8 September in session 30 (4:00pm - 5:30pm) entitled:

  "Transition Joints for Fluid Filled/Extruded and Extruded/Extruded High Voltage and Extra High Voltage Cables"

Over the last three years Prysmian Cables & Systems has invested heavily in the development of HV and EHV transition joints to allow the jointing of HV low pressure fluid filled (FF) cables, to HV XLPE cables as well as the jointing of HV XLPE cables with different insulation thicknesses. All delegates with an interest in the most recent developments in transition joints are encouraged to attend this presentation.
